Terms of Service

1. Who we are

BridgeToWork is a job board that connects first-time workers (primarily students ages 14–24) with employers in Columbus, GA, Phenix City, AL, and surrounding areas. These Terms apply to everyone who uses bridgetowork.co. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to create a job-seeker account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms and our Privacy Policy with you and agreed to your use of the platform.

Businesses must have the legal authority to hire workers in the jurisdiction they list in. Posting on behalf of someone else without their consent is not allowed.

3. Account rules

  • Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Tell the truth. Applicants: don't fabricate experience. Businesses: don't post fake jobs or misrepresent pay or duties.
  • One person / one business per account. No ghost accounts, no resale.
  • Don't harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against anyone on the platform. We'll remove you, full stop.

4. Job listings

Businesses can post job listings for free. Listings must describe real, available work with accurate pay and hours. We reserve the right to remove listings that appear to be scams, MLM schemes, adult work, anything involving weapons or illegal activity, or that otherwise violate these Terms.

New employers may have their first listing reviewed before it goes live. This usually takes under 24 hours.

5. Communication

Messaging is only available after an applicant has applied to a business's listing. Abusing messaging to send spam, solicit money, collect personal information, or harass someone will get you removed. Either side can report a message; we review reports within 24 hours.

6. Hiring decisions

BridgeToWork is a listing and messaging platform. We do not employ anyone, we do not run background checks, and we are not party to any employment relationship. Any offer, contract, wage, or workplace dispute is between the applicant and the business.

7. Our content

The site, branding, design, and non-user-submitted content are ours. You can use the site for its intended purpose; you can't scrape, resell, or build a competing product on our data.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, at our discretion. Banned users lose access to messaging, listings, and saved data.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The site is provided "as is." We don't guarantee you'll find a job, hire someone, or that any listing is accurate. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before a claim (usually $0 — the site is free for users).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or a site banner. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. The version you agreed to at signup is recorded on your profile.
